Whooo am I? Who, who? Who, who? I am Renee Lyons, aka Sparx; I am currently studying biology, psychology, and sign language at University of Wellington. I have also taken papers in linguistics, physics and statistics. I am a self-proclaimed grammar-nazi, and help subedit Salient.
In the beginning was the idea...
The very first 'G33K' cartoon was the Unsupportive Results, based on a flash of an idea, and was intended as a once-off thing. However, the ideas kept accumulating, and soon 'G33K' had a regular spot in Salient. The strip 'Nursery Lies' had a similar beginning, one day while I was working on a few 'G33K' drafts.
About a year after 'G33K' I created 'The Science Fair', to collaborate the dissociated gags of 'G33K' into one coherent storyline.
